What it's showing
Every dot is a day. Blue dots are ones where I stayed under my budget for apps and websites I've deemed distraction/entertainment. Clearspace measures this by using Apple's Screen Time API.
Other features
I also like to track my *total* screen time - though I find the above more useful since my total screen time includes Maps, Spotify, and developing this app which doesn't feel like Screen Time to me.
As far as I know, Clearspace is the only way to measure and view screen time for longer than a 1-month time horizon on iPhone. Next thing to build is the ability to exclude certain apps (Maps, Spotify, Clearspace in my case) from total screen time.
Product overview
Clearspace helps people reduce their screen time by adding friction before opening distracting apps. This can be a breathing exercise or a physical exercise like pushups or squats (these are verified by an ML model).
Fun stat: 4 million pushups completed since we released the "pushup to scroll" feature 6 months ago!
Other features- Schedule times when this friction is active
- Add an accountability partner who will be notified if you breach your budget or delete Clearspace
- Automatic session ending - note how long you want to be scrolling and the app will pull you out at the end
It's free to restrict one app and use all the features on this page. To add multiple apps, it's $7/month or $50/year
